We're done recording and now we're moving on to cleaning up the files and mixing. : ) Have a happy 4th of July friends!

Recording Background Vocals

The end of this week we'll spend recording background vocals. We're not done yet, but we're getting close. Maybe 2 more days worth. Chris Duran(worship leader/songwriter) came and did background on all the songs. At one point in the day we thought we might need a girl to reach this really high harmony.... little did we know.... Chris had a few tricks up his sleeve.

Organ Sweetness

Today we brought Jonathan in to do B3, rhodes, and piano. He is one cool cat and an incredible musician. During lunch we realized we all went to the same high school in town! Pasadena High and had the same band teacher Mr. Miller! Here's proof that public school music programs really do make a difference! Cheers to you Mr. Miller! thanks for helping us along the way.

Electric Guitar Day

Electric guitar is really fun for me. I brought in my good friend Brady McGowen to flush ideas out with. We set up shop and had a sound booth full of goodies and a plethora of guitars to find the right tone.

Recording has been a long process. We've been at it since February and are finally getting around to hearing things close to being finished. Tomorrow we're finalizing up the vocals for "I Will Go". I'll be sure to take the flip camera and bring ya'll back a video.

I'm leading worship at Ethos for Neighborhood Christian Fellowship this Sunday at 7pm! Come check it out. We'll be debuting "I Will Go"

Recording Vocals for "Our God"

The last couple weeks we've been focusing our efforts on the song "Our God". We're back at the studio in Monrovia doing vocals. Melissa Williams drove down from San Luis Obispo for the day, which was really sweet of her. Her and I have been singing in different worship settings for nearly 5 years now. This EP project actually started with her and I working on the songs last summer and laying down scratch tracks here in LA. Here's a fun video of the recording process. : ) enjoy! 

Recording Lap Steel

We're almost done with recording. Just a few more weeks. We've been working on a country pop worship tune that I think ya'll will really enjoy. It's called Our God! We're using a studio in Santa Monica this Monday to record lap steel! woot woot! It's going to be a blast!
